A high-energy, candid photo captures a women's water polo team in green and gold swimsuits celebrating a victory. The athletes, wearing protective water polo caps, are cheering and laughing with their arms raised in excitement. In the foreground, one player gleefully presses her hands against a large tournament bracket board. The board is titled "2026 WWPA Women's Championship" and indicates the event took place in Irvine, California, April 10-12, 2026. An American flag and a clear sky are visible in the background, adding to the triumphant outdoor atmosphere.

Championship Coverage

RealSID brings the WWPA Championships to life.

The Challenge

As the only all-NCAA Division II collegiate water polo conference in the United States, the Western Water Polo Association holds a unique position in the water polo landscape. Putting an emphasis on the entire student-athlete experience, rather just winning and losing, is of particular importance to the WWPA. In addition, the geographic makeup of the conference - with teams across three different time zone - makes traveling for the postseason tournament a challenge for friends and family who reside far from the postseason tournament location. The WWPA was looking for a way to bring its headliner event to life and bring people closer to the action.

The Strategy

RealSID immerses people in the tournament by focusing on:

The Emotion

The Action
